I had a very positive experience at this Hospital It is one of the best hospitals in the region with experienced specialists from almost every department. The senior doctors are humble, patient, and genuinely caring... They explain the diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures in simple language, making patients and their families feel comfortable instead of confused or rushed. The nursing and support staff are cooperative, and the hospital is well-organized despite handling a large number of patients every day. The campus is clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained with plenty of trees and open areas,,, creating a calm environment that helps reduce stress. One thing I especially appreciated is the availability of multiple canteens inside the hospital campus. Family members and attendants don't have to go outside to find food, and the meals are hygienic, affordable, and of good quality Overall, I found the doctors to be professional and compassionate, the facilities well maintained, and the entire experience reassuring. I would definitely recommend Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital to anyone looking for quality healthcare in Dehradun
We recently visited Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun for my mother’s treatment, and our experience in the Orthopedic Department (Unit 2) was very positive. The doctors were highly professional, skilled, and supportive throughout the entire treatment process. They explained everything clearly and handled the situation with great care and patience. The nursing staff and other hospital staff were also very kind, attentive, and cooperative. They were always available whenever we needed assistance and ensured proper care and comfort during the hospital stay. Overall, we are truly grateful for the excellent medical services and supportive environment. Thank you to the entire Orthopedic Unit 2 team for your dedication and hard work.
⭐ Rating: 3/5 This review is based on my experience in the Medicine Ward from 2 June to 6 June 2026. Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is one of the largest hospitals and medical colleges in Dehradun, and overall the facilities are good. Some areas of the hospital seem to be undergoing renovation or upgrades, so a few inconveniences can be understood. The ward management was one of the best parts of our experience. The nursing staff and cleaning staff were hardworking, helpful, and did their jobs sincerely. The wards were kept clean, and most of the staff members were patient, respectful, and supportive while dealing with patients and their families. The main reason for my 3-star rating is the Ayushman counter system. Considering that a large number of patients use Ayushman for admission and treatment, the current staffing feels insufficient. Long waiting times were common at almost every stage. Admission formalities, approval or date extension processes, and even discharge-related paperwork often took several hours. While I understand that these procedures depend on technical systems, approvals, and internet connectivity, the hospital should consider assigning more staff to these counters. It would save a significant amount of time for both patients and hospital staff, especially when people are already dealing with medical emergencies. Another issue is the arrangement for patient attendants staying with patients. The benches provided beside the beds are very small and uncomfortable, making it difficult for attendants who need to stay in the hospital for several days. While attendants are expected to look after patients, they also need proper rest in order to continue providing support. Better seating or resting arrangements would greatly improve the overall experience. The food, treatment, cleanliness, and overall medical facilities were satisfactory. The nursing staff and housekeeping team were particularly commendable. Most staff members were well-behaved and knew how to handle patients with patience and care. Overall, this is a good hospital with capable medical facilities and dedicated ward staff. However, improvements in the Ayushman help desk system and facilities for patient attendants would significantly enhance the experience for both patients and their families.
My son, Yug Rawat, recently underwent surgery at Mahant Indiresh Hospital, and our experience was truly excellent. A special thanks to Dr. Madhukar Maletha, Child Surgeon, whose expertise, professionalism, and compassionate care gave us complete confidence throughout the treatment. He explained every step of the procedure clearly and ensured that my son received the best possible care. The nursing staff and all hospital employees were kind, supportive, and always ready to help. The hospital was very clean, well-maintained, and organized, which made us feel comfortable and reassured during our stay. I sincerely thank Dr. Madhukar Maletha, the nurses, and the entire team at Mahant Indiresh Hospital for their outstanding care, dedication, and kindness. We are truly grateful for the excellent treatment and support we received. I highly recommend Mahant Indiresh Hospital to anyone looking for quality medical care, especially for pediatric surgery.
