DOkTM — Choose the Best

Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern your use of the DOkTM platform.

Last updated: September 2026

Policy version: v1.1
Last updated: September 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DOkTM (the “Platform”), a healthcare discovery, comparison, and information platform. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy,Medical Disclaimer, and other applicable policies referenced herein, including the Provider Terms if you use provider features.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Platform. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

4. User Accounts

Certain features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering, to keep your account credentials secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. You must not share your account or impersonate another user.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Platform lawfully and to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in enquiries and submissions.
  • Not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to harm the Platform.
  • Respect the rights of providers, advertisers, and other users.
  • Follow up directly with providers for service-related matters.

6. Healthcare Information

Information on the Platform is provided for general informational and discovery purposes only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. See our Medical Disclaimer.

7. Provider Listings

Provider profiles, capabilities, and rates are curated and reviewed by DOkTM, or submitted by providers themselves and reviewed before publication. A listing does not constitute an endorsement or a guarantee of quality by DOkTM. Each listing carries a verification status so you can see how the information was sourced.

8. Doctor / Hospital / Lab Information

Information about doctors, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and imaging centres is sourced from providers, public sources, or provider websites, and is verified to the extent stated. DOkTM does not warrant the accuracy of provider-submitted information beyond its stated verification status.

9. Provider Accounts & Claims

Providers can register, claim listings, and manage their presence through provider accounts. Claiming or managing a listing requires demonstrating authority over the provider organisation. Provider accounts are governed by the Provider Terms, which form part of these Terms for provider users.

10. Prices, Rates & Provenance

DOkTM displays several kinds of rate and price information, each labelled by its origin:

  • Provider-submitted rates — submitted by providers and reviewed by DOkTM before publication.
  • DOkTM-reviewed rates — provider rates that have passed DOkTM's review.
  • External reference prices — prices observed at public external sources, clearly identified as external reference. An external reference price is not a provider's rate and may be outdated or inapplicable.
  • Sponsored / commercial information — paid placements, which say nothing about a provider's rates.

Price comparison does not constitute a recommendation. A lower price does not necessarily mean better or equivalent clinical care. Always contact the provider for the current rate — final pricing is set by the provider after clinical assessment.

11. Quotations and Enquiries

A quotation requested through the Platform is an enquiry — it does not constitute a booking or a guaranteed price. Final pricing, availability, and terms are confirmed directly between you and the provider. DOkTM is not a party to any agreement between you and a provider.

12. Appointment Requests

Where available, DOkTM lets you request an appointment with a participating provider. An appointment request is an enquiry — it is not a confirmed booking. Appointments are confirmed only by the provider, and availability may change at any time. DOkTM does not guarantee that a provider will confirm any requested appointment. If appointment fees are introduced as a commercial feature, the applicable fee and terms will be shown before any charge.

13. Patient Enquiries Routed to Providers

Enquiries you submit are routed to the selected provider, who may respond to you directly. DOkTM does not guarantee that a provider will respond, and does not guarantee any treatment or outcome. Providers need only the minimum contact information necessary to respond — please do not include medical records, diagnostic reports, or detailed clinical history in ordinary enquiry forms. Enquiry and appointment information is not displayed publicly.

14. Reviews and Ratings

Ratings shown on the Platform may be aggregated from public review sources and are sourced — not fabricated. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. You must not post false, defamatory, or misleading reviews, or manipulate ratings.

15. DOkTM Picks

DOkTM Picks are editorial selections that may include sponsored content. Sponsored Picks are clearly labelled. Editorial selections are independent of advertising. See our Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy.

17. Payment Does Not Equal Verification

Payment for any commercial feature — subscriptions, sponsored discovery, advertising, or promotion — never makes a provider Verified, Accredited, Certified, Recommended, or higher-ranked, and never changes a provider's factual verification status or the order of organic results. Verification status is determined solely by DOkTM's independent review process. DOkTM does not represent that a paid provider offers better clinical care, and is not responsible for clinical outcomes.

18. Advertising

Advertisers must comply with the Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy. All campaigns require admin approval before public display. DOkTM may reject or remove any advertisement at its discretion.

19. Surgical Inventory

The Surgical Inventory catalogue is a B2B product directory provided for information only. Inclusion does not constitute an endorsement of a product or company. DOkTM does not sell surgical products and is not a party to any transaction between users and product companies.

20. Conferences

Conference and CME listings are provided for informational purposes. DOkTM is not the organiser of listed conferences unless stated. Registration, fees, and CME credits are governed by the respective conference organiser.

21. Educational Content

Educational content is provided for general information and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for individual medical decisions.

22. Medical Travel Information

DOkTM may list accommodation and related services relevant to medical travel. DOkTM is a discovery platform — it is not a medical tourism agency and does not arrange or coordinate treatment, travel, visas, accommodation, or payments. All medical, travel, and payment arrangements are made directly between you and the relevant provider, hotel, or travel service, each of which is governed by its own terms. DOkTM makes no claims regarding cross-border healthcare regulation, and the Medical Disclaimer applies to all medical travel decisions.

23. Third-Party Websites

The Platform may link to third-party websites. DOkTM does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites. Accessing third-party websites is at your own risk.

24. Affiliate Links

DOkTM may in future use affiliate links. See our Affiliate Disclosure. Affiliate relationships do not constitute endorsement.

25. Intellectual Property

DOkTM's name, logo, branding, original content, software, and design are protected. Third-party trademarks, logos, and content remain the property of their owners. See our Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.

26. Image and Content Rights

Providers and advertisers confirm they hold the necessary rights to content and images they submit to the Platform. Content observed at external public sources is stored as attributed reference information with recorded provenance; DOkTM does not treat third-party content as approved for commercial reuse unless reuse rights are actually established. If you believe content on DOkTM infringes your rights, use the Report Incorrect Information page.

27. DOkTM Database and Compilation

The selection, arrangement, and compilation of information on the Platform is a proprietary database owned by DOkTM. The compilation is protected by applicable laws, even where individual underlying facts may be publicly known.

28. Scraping and Automated Extraction

Subject to applicable law, the following are prohibited:

  • Systematic scraping of the Platform
  • Bulk extraction of data
  • Automated harvesting of content
  • Database mirroring
  • Systematic copying of content
  • Bulk downloading of listings or data
  • Creation of competing databases using DOkTM's proprietary compilation
  • Bypassing technical restrictions or access controls
  • Commercial reuse of proprietary DOkTM content without permission

29. Prohibited Use

You must not use the Platform to: violate any law; infringe intellectual property; submit false or misleading information; impersonate another person or entity; distribute malware; interfere with the Platform's operation; fabricate or manipulate reviews, enquiries, leads, or engagement metrics; or assist any third party in doing any of the foregoing.

30. Accuracy and Availability

DOkTM strives for accuracy but does not warrant that information is error-free, complete, or current. Information may change without notice. The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis.

31. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with or reference third-party services (including payment processors). DOkTM is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers.

33. Promotional Credits

DOkTM may issue promotional credits that can be applied to eligible charges, according to the configuration and balances maintained in DOkTM's billing system. Credits may carry expiry dates, may be revoked by DOkTM, and have no cash value except where required by applicable law. Where a charge paid partly or fully with credits is refunded, the credit portion is generally restored to the credit balance rather than paid in cash, subject to applicable law and DOkTM's determination.

34. Taxes / GST

Applicable taxes (including GST where applicable in India) may be added to paid services according to the tax treatment configured in DOkTM's billing system and applicable law. Tax treatment depends on the nature of the transaction — DOkTM does not claim that GST applies universally. Invoices, where issued, reflect the tax configuration applied at the time of the transaction. Nothing on the Platform is tax advice.

35. Account Suspension / Termination

DOkTM may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Platform, or engage in prohibited activity. You may stop using the Platform at any time.

36. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DOkTM is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information displayed on the Platform, from quotations received, or from any treatment, service, or interaction with a provider listed on the Platform. Your recourse for service delivery is against the relevant provider.

37. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DOkTM from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your misuse of the Platform or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

38. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be addressed in accordance with the governing law below and applicable dispute-resolution mechanisms.

39. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have jurisdiction over any disputes, subject to applicable law and the dispute-resolution process above.

40. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates are versioned and take effect when posted. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
